Love and Art

The world stops spinning and all of a sudden, it makes sense

You feel yourself healing, recovering

There is a strange beauty in every thing he does

A charm that is impossible to resist

Life is now the Musee d’Orsay

And you’re the Mona Lisa, with that stupid permanent smile plastered across your face

Every hurt is a starry night, directing your path

Each wrong turn, the birth of Venus

Life is a blank canvas and with every second that goes by,

You can see paint being tossed from every side of the room

Splashes of colour: red, pink, purple;

Shades you never liked, colours you didn’t even know existed

Your cheeks are flushed, your head is throbbing

The world is everything but sane

And you, with your lovestruck self, are the conductor of all the madness

And yet it makes sense

Somehow, and to no one but you

There isn’t a world you’d rather live in

And distant is the world without him

You sink in, you toss a sheet on the ground and you lay and watch the madness

paint and cover every ceiling, every wall

You’re Michelangelo and he has given you the Sistine Chapel

……He gave you the paint and the canvas to turn this life of yours into art
